Shevchenkovo Orphanage in Kharkov, Ukraine has 150 boys of different ages.  The boys have strong intellectual and behavioral disorders.

Orphanage Activities   

                                                                     Daily duties for the children of the orphanage.                               

Children in the Orphanage have strong intellectual and behavioral disorders.  Teachers use either games or working activities to teach children to care about themselves and to be able to work in the future.  Thus, lots of boys like to care for plants and animals.

 Many of the boys love to play football.  The Rotary Club bought the uniforms for the boys.

The boys of the orphanage like to do things in the arts.  They learn embroidery, drawing and sculpture.  Their handmade articles are highly valued at auctions and festivals because they are made with love.   The money gained from the sale of the articles goes for things needed by the children.   The Rotary Club of Kharkov runs the auction.
