We try to work with a new children’s home, children’s boarding school, and so forth each year to provide a bit of good to different young boys and girls.

            During its existence, the club has done a number of things ranging from assistance to the needy to conducting a youth forum. We actively participate not only in social projects, but also in measures aimed at establishing friendships which the friends of Rotaractors in neighboring cities appreciate.

            During the club’s existence, we have been involved in the following projects:

1.      A project called “Proforientatsiya” [Professional Orientation] in conjunction with Children’s Home № 59. Children aged 14-16 studied at the city’s universities (Medical University, KGUTsMiZ [Krasnoyarsk State University of Nonferrous Metals and Gold]) for familiarization with professions and the culture of a higher educational institution;

2.      Organization of a bicycle tour to Lake Ol’khon in Lake Baykal;

3.      An annual costumed September 1st celebration for the kids in children’s homes;

4.      An annual project entitled “Everyone Can Be Santa Claus” with support from the “Children’s World” store;

5.      New Year’s party for kids put on by artists portraying Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden, presentation of gifts, with fun and games;

6.      Holding fundraisers;

7.      Organizing a Rotary Youth Russian Forum. More than 60 people from 13 Russian cities, as well as children from Australia, Brazil, and Alaska, participated.
