Sweaters for orphans in Vladivostok, Russia

Sponsor club: Rotary Club of Kihei-Wailea; Partner club: Rotary Club "Vladivostok"

Cost: 963; Status: project is in progress

Guideposts have offered us a pallet of hand-knitted children sweaters (15 boxes, 450 sweaters) to be shipped and distributed to the orphaned children in Vladivostok, Russia. Rotary Club of Kihei-Wailea raised $963 for shipping the sweaters from New York. Rotary club "Vladivostok" is helping to distribute the sweaters to the children at the local orphanages. This is a high visibility project involving several international organizations working together. We will keep updating this document with pictures, thank you letters, news stories and more.

The Guideposts Sweater Project receives more than 40,000 knitted or crocheted sweaters from donors annually. These gifts of love are

distributed to organizations, both large and small, serving needy

children in the United States and abroad. For more info about

Guideposts contact Caroline Harris at:sweaterproject@guideposts.org.
