122*  Learning to Live     Barnaul Boarding School #1 Barnaul - Capital Centennial RC 12525*
      Rotary Club of Evanston Lighthouse

The Barnaul Capital Centennial Rotary Club would like to thank the Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club for funding this project.  The photos below are of the completed project that is a special room in the boarding school where children may learn about appliances they might encounter when they live independently.  Often, these children have never handled any of this equipment before.

This is a project to supply equipment and supplies that will help mentally and physically disabled orphans along with other orphans learn to live independently.  The project is for Barnaul Boarding School #1 which has 112 children.   This project involves a USAID/IREX U.S. goverment grant for $12,225 to purchase this equipment.  This is a matching grant opportunity, but it is not a traditional Rotary matching grant.  Your club's money will be matched by the U.S. goverment, The Rotary Club of Biysk, and a Rotary District 5010 District Simplified Grant.  The figures are listed below:

             Rotary Club of Barnaul                       $1,000

             IREX                                                       9,394

             District 5010 DSG                                1,566

Your club                                                 566 (out of district 5010 funding required)

             Project total                                       $12,525

Your club is responsible for a $12,525 project for just $566!
