UPDATE: Dryer has been installed.  Excellent!.

Khabarovsk Rotary Club sought $1,000 to complete the purchase and installation of a replacement dryer in the Vinogradovka Children's Home.   The total required for the dryer was $3,962.  The Khabarovsk Rotary raised $1,962 locally and have a pledge from the Rotary of Niigata, Japan for the final $1,000.

The Children's Home old dryer broke in 2006.

Delivery                                                   Hooray it is here!                                       Kids and Ludmila Muler, Director

The Vinogradovka Children's Home is home to 28 children ages 2 to 7 years old.

Ludmila Muler, Director of the orphanage, sends all Rotary the following:

"August 22, 2007

"On the name of our children an Vinogradovka Orphanage, I would like to thank you all for your efforts and donation.  As a result, we had acquired drying machine for daily need of the children.  Due to that drying machine, the children's clothes and linen will get and keep warmth of your hands an hearts during long Russian winters....

"... It is amazing that thanks to Rotary, people from the other part of the globe can help orphan children in the Russian countryside.".

The Khabarovsk Rotary and its associated Rotoract and Interact clubs has worked closely with the home over the past ten years.  With the help of Rotary International, they have provided furniture, toys, clothing, a new heating system and helped build a playground.  Working with a Rotary Club from Belgium, they purchased a minibus for the Home in 2003.
